i really love the app. but why not add the album?

Does what it claims it will do, which is what I bought it for. Needs full access to all albums, not just "Camera Roll"

This app is a good start but it only finds GPS and exposure data on pictures in the camera roll album. If you look at any pictures taken with your iPhone 4 camera and have moved them to a different album it will not pick up the GPS or exposure data. Yet the GPS data is there as it shows up for the picture in the places option of the iPhone photo albums. Next to the date and time location info for a given picture is the most important feature I wanted. If Apple had better product management these features would all ready be included in the iPhone app.

This is a nice idea, but this app really lacks polish. - no landscape mode - no multitasking (i.e. you see the splash screen every time) - doesnt remember which album you were looking at or what your scroll position was - each picture momentarily displays zoomed in before being fitted to the screen - no location info for non Camera Role albums (maybe an Apple restriction?) - if location services are disabled or restricted, the app wont start and it wont tell you why - the transition animations dont make sense, when you click on the i to get more details, the detail pane slides in from the right, but swiping your dinger left to right takes takes you to the previous photo; the i should do the flip over animation - scrolling is jerky - the displayed map is not interactive

I agree with others. Good app but needs cleaning and smoothing. Please recent photos first. Idea: Provide a timeline when scrolling through in order to get an idea when a set of pics were taken. Looking forward to an update Apple should have had this as part of the built in photo app With built in app you cant even see when a photo was taken "Lab" has seen a missing link Please submit update soon

The app is decent, runs stable, loads reasonably fast, and could be a replacement for the built-in Photos app, but when viewing the Camera Roll, you always start with the oldest photo instead of the newest ones(like the photos you just took). Its a small fix, but its also a big deal, because it will never replace the Photos app until this is fixed, or an option is added to deal with this, because in order to view the photos you just took, you have to scroll through *all* of your old photos, which is ridiculous. Other than this, the interface works well enough, and the info view itself is pretty useful and makes it quick and easy to see GPS/map information about a photo. The interface still remains a bit basic, and is wholly dependent on your folder organization(or just the Camera Roll) on your iPhone; it would have been nice to see expanded organization, such as a calendar view to access your photos.

Down loaded this app to help during my house hunting search. Thought I could take pictures of the houses I liked and the GPS feature would help me remember the location. Unfortunately, you are unable to launch the map on Google maps or get the approximate address from the pin on the map. Had difficulty identifying the location from the small map that cannot be manipulated.

I downloaded this app for my iPhone 4 and thought it was rather cool! Then I went to use my camera and it would no longer take a photo! I knew it had to be this app since it was the only new one I had downloaded recently. I deleted the app and still no camera. I plugged it into my computer and synced without this app and still nothing. I had to RESTORE and then load my back up to get my camera back! That is completely insane...how can Apple allow an app like this in their store? Do not buy..

I had originally reviewed this a little harshly, but the most recent update solved my biggest issue... Way to go developers! This is a very nicely designed and useful app for those of us who take a lot photos and who needs to see various pieces data on them... Perfect for seeing the quality that various photography apps export your pictures at (so few use max resolution, which is sad). Well worth a buck!! (Concerning the reviewer who said this broke their camera... Really?!? I am having a hard time believing that. Id be blaming apple for that, not this app - this app doesnt even access the camera at all.)

I like the clean interface and ease of use and overall look of this app. But none of my photos have the GPS map views coming up? Also would be great if you could email the photo from inside the app. If that could be done it would get almost 5 stars. 5 stars if I could get mapping to show up on the photos! Any help there would be appreciated!

Great app, now just make it universal for my iPad.

Works as advertised. Easy. Simple interface. However, if I take a screen capture of the info page, then go to the photo roll to select a new picture it crashes the app. Every time. Its probably related to refreshing the display to account for the newly added picture from the screengrab function.

I bought this app to get GPS info about my pictures. After trying it the only info i cant get about my pictures the the GPS info!

GPS does not work with this app. That is why I bought it.

This past week I searched for an App that would give me the actual size, in megabytes, megapixels and where it was taken. Nothing compares with Lab!!  It does it all and more.

The app developers are ripping themselves off by only charging one tiny little dollar. Ok, I might have been a little melodramatic but it does deserve more stars. Maybe the ppl who have trouble with gps have location data turned off or something. This app works great. Solves my problems of when & where I took a shot. I would, however, like to be able to upload the pics with the info somehow. Glad I splurged.

Im an educator and Lab has made it possible for me to explore the details of images with my students in a readable and accessible format. Love it!
